Kilduff has been cared for by our family since 1963, when Russell’s grandparents, Jimmy and Isobel Millar, moved to the farm from Foulden in Berwickshire. Jimmy had grown up farming with his father James and brother George at Foulden, but saw Kilduff as his opportunity to build a successful farming business of his own that would reflect his perfectionist nature.
In 1975 he was able to acquire neighbouring land at Drem Farm establishing a substantial agricultural holding in the heart of East Lothian.
Kilduff was Jimmy’s life passion and he constantly strove to improve the farm and environment. A true custodian of the land. The late Jimmy Millar’s desire for operational excellence and his farming ethos remain at the heart of the business he established.
